Bill Knight founded Knight Automotive back in 2006, and his passion for the automotive industry began when he was just 10 years old. Bill grew up around cars, and would help his uncle by cleaning up parts on his dirt track car. His dad brought home a 1957 Chevy when he was in 7th grade, and that sealed his fate when it came to working on cars for a career.
Bill began his automotive career at an oil change facility when he was just 16 years old. He attended Wyoming Tech after high school and quickly got a job at the local Chrysler dealer. He proudly passed all 8 ASE certifications his first year and soon became a transmission technician and expert. After spending 16 years working at local dealerships, Bill became frustrated with how they treated their customers. He decided to open his own shop to focus on better customer service and be the honest facility in the area that his community could trust.
Knight Automotive was born in 2006, and during the first 6 months of the shop’s opening, Bill was its only employee. He worked everything from the front desk to the back of the shop. Eventually, he added a part-time apprentice, who grew into a full time position. Over the years, the shop has grown into an 8 person shop, and Bill now has over 34 years of automotive experience under his belt.
